About the Role:
Caremed Primary and Urgent Care PC is looking for a motivated and compassionate Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced primary care team in Coram, NY. Responsibilities:
- Room patients and record vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
- Assist physicians and providers with examinations and clinical procedures
- Perform phlebotomy, spirometry, EKG, ABI, etc.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper supply stocking
- Manage patient flow in a high-volume primary care setting
- Process referrals, prior authorizations, and coordinate patient follow-up care
- Accurately document patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
- Prior experience in a primary care or urgent care clinical setting preferred
- Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and basic medical office procedures
- Strong phlebotomy and clinical skills including vital signs
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a professional demeanor
- Ability to work full-time in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
