About the Role:
Caremed Primary and Urgent Care PC is looking for an energetic and organized Full-Time Receptionist to join our busy primary care team in Selden, NY. This is a dynamic dual-role opportunity where you'll be at the heart of patient care. At least 1 year experience as a medical receptionist is required. Kindly do not apply if you do not meet this requirement as your resume will not be considered. The office is open every other Saturday so weekend may be required. Education / Certification Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma.
Basic computer skills required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greeting and assisting patients
- Answering phones in a timely manner
- Taking accurate and concise messages for the doctors and medical assistants
- Patient scheduling based on practice guidelines
- Perform the patient check-in process to ensure accurate collection of information and copayments/co-insurance
- Generating electronic referrals
- Verify insurance coverage
- Making sure that the daily copay/coinsurance collections are correctly documented and proved out at the end of the day
- Responsible for making sure that the waiting room is keep clean and neat
- Training new staff in policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
